Charity loves her neighbor. She holds and protects, offering shelter and consolation to those smaller and weaker than she. Because of her love, she enables others to be strong. Her actions are so simple but so powerful.
Knowing that you are loved makes you confident. It makes you believe in your own value and ability to give back something meaningful to others and to society. Love is the golden life-thread of our lives. Giving and receiving love makes our lives valuable and rich. When we act lovingly toward other people, we will be automatically patient, kind, good and self-controlled. It is a cycle, making us in turn joyful, peaceful and gentle. God is love and in His perfect love there is no fear.
And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.
