Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Faith is giving all she has. She is stretched to the literal last tippy-toe and full of determination. She comes as she is, indifferent of her disheveled appearance and her grubby feet, to offer the little—yet beautiful—gift that she has. Boldly, she knocks on the over-sized door; there, where she can be best heard.
Faith propels us into action, to persevere and to summon the seemingly last of our strength. Through faith, we can come as we are, with whatever gifts we can offer, with trepidation, doubt and joy and knock on that door. Faith emboldens us to take the sum of our hopes and to make them real. And how much better off we are, when we have the strong and loving hand of our Father to hold on to!
